1-The first commercial flight from Hindon civil airport adjacent to the Air Force’s Hindon airbase operated when a nine-seater plane took off for Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh district. The flight operations were launched by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat at a brief ceremony held at the Hindon airport in NCR Ghaziabad.

2- Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen clinched his maiden BWF World Tour title by winning the Dutch Open men’s singles at Almere in the Netherlands. Lakshya, currently ranked 72nd in world ranking.

3- India will extend a Line of Credit of over 60 million US Dollars to Comoros in the field of energy and maritime defence cooperation. This credit line includes US $ 41.6 million for setting up an 18 MW power plant in Moroni and US $ 20 million for the purchase of high-speed interceptor boats.

4- The Vice President was conferred ‘The Order of the Green Crescent’, the highest Civilian Honour of Comoros, by Azali Assoumani, President of Comoros in Moroni.

5- India and Sierra Leone signed 6 agreements to expand the bilateral relations in various fields and also agreed to push for UNSC reforms.India announced the decision to establish a High Commission in Sierra Leone, even as both the countries have agreed to enhance cooperation in agriculture, food processing, Information Technology, infrastructure development and capacity building.

6- The Kurdish administration in North Syria announced an agreement with the Damascus government for the deployment of Syrian troops near the border with Turkey. This agreement has been made to deal with the threats from Ankara.
