1- Panchayati Raj Minister confers National Panchayat Awards 2019. Minister of Panchayati Raj Narendra Singh Tomar conferred the national Panchayat Awards, 2019 in New Delhi. The Minister also launched an App called ‘Gram Manchitra’ which is a Geo-Spatial based decision support system for panchayats.
पंचायती राज मंत्री नरेंद्र सिंह तोमर ने नई दिल्ली में राष्ट्रीय पंचायत पुरस्कार 2019 प्रदान किये। मंत्री ने ‘ग्राम मानचित्र’ नामक एक ऐप भी लॉन्च किया, जिसमे पंचायतों के लिए भू-स्थानिक आधारित निर्णय समर्थन प्रणाली भी उपलब्ध है।
2- Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change launched the first national protocol to enumerate the snow leopard population in the country on the occasion of International Snow Leopard Day. The Day is celebrated on October 23 every year to protect and conserve the snow leopards and preserve the beautiful wildlife of the Himalayas.
पर्यावरण, वन और जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्रालय ने अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हिम तेंदुआ दिवस के अवसर पर देश में हिम तेंदुए की आबादी गणना के लिए पहला राष्ट्रीय प्रोटोकॉल शुरू किया। हिम तेंदुओं की रक्षा और संरक्षण के लिए प्रति वर्ष 23 अक्टूबर को यह दिवस मनाया जाता है।

3- The Union Cabinet has decided to hike Minimum Support Price, MSP, for Rabi crops for marketing season 2020-21. MSP of wheat has been increased by 85 rupees per quintal to 1,925 rupees per quintal. While MSP of Gram has been increased by 255 rupees, barley 85 rupees, mustard oil 225 rupees and sunflower 270 rupees per quintal.
केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने विपणन सीजन 2020-21 के लिए रबी फसलों के लिए न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य, एमएसपी को बढ़ाने का फैसला किया है। गेहूं का एमएसपी 85 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल बढ़ाकर 1,925 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल कर दिया गया है। जबकि चने का एमएसपी 255 रुपये, जौ 85 रुपये, सरसों का तेल 225 रुपये और सूरजमुखी 270 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल बढ़ाया गया है।
4- The Union Cabinet has approved cadre review of Group A General Duty (Executive) Cadre and Non-Gazetted cadre of Indo-Tibetan Border Police, ITBP. It has also decided to create two new Commands (Western Command at Chandigarh and Eastern Command at Guwahati) to be headed by Additional Director General and assisted by Inspector General.
केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने भारत-तिब्बत सीमा पुलिस, आईटीबीपी के ग्रुप ए जनरल ड्यूटी (कार्यकारी) कैडर और गैर-राजपत्रित कैडर की समीक्षा को मंजूरी दे दी है। इसके अतिरिक्त महानिदेशक और सहायक महानिरीक्षक की अध्यक्षता में दो नए कमांड (चंडीगढ़ में पश्चिमी कमान और गुवाहाटी में पूर्वी कमान) बनाने का भी फैसला किया है।
5-The government relaxed the rules for the installation of petrol pumps. According to the decision of the Cabinet, instead of investing Rs 2000 crore, a company with a net worth of Rs 250 crore can also open a petrol pump.
पेट्रोल पंपों की स्थापना के लिए सरकार ने नियमो को शिथिल किया. कैबिनेट के फैसले के मुताबिक 2000 करोड़ रूपये के निवेश के स्थान पर 250 करोड़ रुपये के नेटवर्थ वाली कंपनी भी पेट्रोल पंप खोल सकती हैं.
6-Telecom companies MTNL and BSNL will be merged. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs.
सरकारी टेलीकॉम कंपनियों एमटीएनएल और बीएसएनएल का विलय होगा। आर्थिक मामलों से जुड़ी कैबिटन कमेटी की बैठक में यह फैसला लिया गया।

7- Kais Saied has sworn in as the President of Tunisia. He succeeds the late Beji Caid Essebsi, who died in office in July.

8- Emperor Naruhito of Japan took the throne. After the coronation ceremony was completed, Emperor Akihito handed over the ‘Chrysanthemum Throne’ (throne) to his son Naruhito. After this Naruhito formally became the 126th emperor of the country.
जापान के सम्राट नारुहितो ने राजसिंहासन संभाल लिया। राज्याभिषेक की रस्में पूरी होने के बाद सम्राट अकिहितो ने ‘क्राइसेन्थीमम थ्रोन’ (राजसिंहासन) अपने बेटे नारुहितो के हवाले कर दिया। इसके बाद नारुहितो औपचारिक रूप से देश के 126वें सम्राट बन गए।
