1- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated a two-day (18–19 August) health testing camp organized by ITV Foundation against Japanese encephalitis at Maharajganj. This camp is organized with the support of Reckitt Benckiser India.

4- Paytm has announced the promotion of its Chief Financial Officer, Madhur Deora, as President. Prior to joining Paytm in 2016, Deora served as Managing Director in Citigroup’s investment banking business.

Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja is among the 19 players nominated for the Arjuna Award by the award selection committee headed by Justice (retd) Mukundakam Sharma.

7- Former Bihar Chief Minister Dr. Jagannath Mishra passed away. Dr. Jagannath Mishra had been the Chief Minister of Bihar three times.
बिहार के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री डॉक्टर जगन्नाथ मिश्र का निधन हो गया। डॉ जगन्नाथ मिश्र बिहार के तीन बार मुख्यमंत्री रह चुके थे।

8- The 5th Meeting of India-Nepal Joint Commission will be held in Kathmandu on 21- 22 August. Minister for External Affairs of Dr S. Jaishankar and Nepal’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali will co-chair the meeting and lead their respective delegations.
