1- Union Home Minister Amit Shah has chaired the 24th meeting of Western Zonal Council in Goa. It is a forum for the Centre and States to exchange ideas on issues like health, security and social welfare.

2- India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Nepal’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali have signed an MoU on Food Safety and Standards between Food Safety and Standards Authority of India(FSSAI) and Department of Food Technology and Quality Control (DFTQC) of Nepal.

3- Power Minister R K Singh has launched the State Rooftop Solar Attractiveness Index -SARAL in New Delhi. Karnataka has been placed at the first rank in the Index followed by Telangana and Gujarat that evaluates states based on their attractiveness for rooftop development.

4- Culture Minister Prahlad Singh Patel will launch the book – the Diary of Manu Gandhi at a function in New Delhi on 22nd August 2019. The book has been brought out by National Archives of India, on the occasion of 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in collaboration with Oxford University Press. The first volume covers the period 1943-1944.
संस्कृति मंत्री प्रह्लाद सिंह पटेल 22 अगस्त 2019 को नई दिल्ली में एक समारोह में पुस्तक – ‘द डायरी ऑफ मनु गांधी’ का शुभारंभ करेंगे। ऑक्सफोर्ड यूनिवर्सिटी प्रेस के सहयोग से महात्मा गांधी की 150 वीं वर्षगांठ के अवसर पर भारत के राष्ट्रीय अभिलेखागार द्वारा पुस्तक को लाया गया है। इसका पहला भाग 1943-1944 की अवधि को समाहित किये हुए है।
5- Brij Kumar Agarwal has been appointed as Secretary to the Lokpal and Subash Chandra as Secretary of Department of Defence Production.
बृज कुमार अग्रवाल को लोकपाल के सचिव और सुभाष चंद्रा को रक्षा उत्पादन विभाग के सचिव के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है।
6- Ajay Kumar has been appointed as Defence Secretary. Ajay Kumar, is a 1985 batch IAS officer of Kerala cadre and is currently serving as Secretary, Department of Defence Production. He will succeed Sanjay Mitra.
सरकार ने अजय कुमार को रक्षा सचिव नियुक्त किया है। अजय कुमार, 1985 बैच के केरल कैडर के आईएएस अधिकारी हैं और वर्तमान में रक्षा उत्पादन विभाग के सचिव हैं। वह संजय मित्रा का स्थान गृहण करेंगे।
7- Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba will be the new Cabinet Secretary. Mr Gauba who is a 1982 batch IAS officer of Jharkhand cadre will replace P.K. Sinha, The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Mr Gauba as the Cabinet Secretary with a tenure of two years from 30th August.
गृह सचिव राजीव गौबा नए कैबिनेट सचिव होंगे। श्री गौबा जो 1982 बैच के झारखंड कैडर के आईएएस अधिकारी हैं, पी. के. सिन्हा का स्थान गृहण करेंगे। कैबिनेट की नियुक्ति समिति ने 30 अगस्त से दो साल के कार्यकाल के साथ श्री गौबा को कैबिनेट सचिव के रूप में नियुक्त करने की मंजूरी दी है।
