1- The cabinet approved the ordinance banning e-cigarettes. The decision to ban electronic cigarettes was taken at a meeting of the Union Cabinet in Delhi.

2-A short movie made with the financial assistance from Prasar Bharati has been nominated for Oscars. The movie “Moti Bagh” revolving around the life and hard work of an octogenarian farmer from Uttarakhand has been directed by a three time national award winner Nirmal Chandra Dandariyal. The film made with the financial assistance from Prasar Bharati is about the life of an 82 year old farmer from Uttarakhand, Vidyadutt Sharma. Mr Sharma lives in Saanguda village of Kaljikhal block of Pauri district. It is the first film from Uttarakhand which will be showcased on a prestigious global platform like Oscars.

3- President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga is arriving in New Delhi afternoon on a five day State visit. He will be accompanied by a high-level official and business delegation. This has re-established the military transport aircraft connectivity at this Eastern most hamlet of India.
